What is prolapse?

The definition: The falling down, slipping or expulsion of a body part from its normal position. It is not unusual to have a prolapse of any part of the body’s organs.

The Pelvic organ prolapse

Pelvic organ prolapse is a more common than you can believe, particularly among older women. Medical research estimates that half of women who have children will experience some form of prolapse in later life.

Due to the ‘taboo’ scinerio millions of women are afraid or too ashamed to seek help from their doctor or health advisor. 

Other names for prolapse:

Uterine prolapse. Genital prolapse. Uterovaginal prolapse Pelvic relaxation. Pelvic floor dysfunction urogenital prolapse or vaginal wall prolapse.
